In July, 1935, an edition of the Waterloo Sunday Courier in Iowa carried a pictorial full page story titled "How The G-Men Get Their Man." The article is complete with "squibs" & 16 photos on evidence processing at the Lab, fingerprints, firearms, the use of a dummy named "Oscar" in the '35 training Academy and much more. Although a bit grainy, the machinery of the fingerprint unit, Lab and others can readily be seen, in addition to some personnel.
This is a great article, putting it all in perspective as early as 1935.
