Greetings:
I have been doing some research for my family tree. It appears that I am related to Myron Gurnea.
Could you possibly point me in the right direction to learn more about him? I would appreciate it.
Thank you,
Kelly Gurnea

Agent Gurnea was at the Brady Gang Shootout in Maine, circa 1937 and was a former LA policeman. He died in a boating accident in 1950. Feel free to contact me about this information at my regular email address.

Hello,my name is Cathy and I have been doing research on the Brady Gang. James Dalhover was my grandfather and Clarence Shafer was my uncle. They weren't talked about too often because of the embarrassment to my family.I have learned that there are some things written that were not true. When I came across your site and read about them, I thought it interesting and the repercussions from my grandfather went down the line in the family. My mother was teased and my sister was refused a job due to him. I also would like to state for the record that they all got what was coming to them. My grandmother lived by this mantra: If you can lie,you can steal and if you can do that, you can kill. She was quite a lady, nothing like Life magazine's protrayal of her or her sister.
Thanks for talking to me Larry.

Larry, you have done an outstanding job.A site honoring these pioneer "Public Enemies" era G-Men is long overdue and well deserved. Keep up the great work...R.D. Morgan-author of the "Tri-State Terror: The Life and Crimes of Wilbur Underhill."

Congratulations on an outstanding site. You always hear about the criminals in history, never about the Law Enforcement Officers and their efforts and sacrifices in bringing them to justice, one way or another.

I look forward to reading about Delk "Jelly" Brice of the same era. I happened upon your site from "American Handgunner" July/August 2008, Massad Ayoob's article.

I currently work for the US Forest Service as an LEO www.lbl.org.

Looking forward to details (readily available via Google) regarding Col. Walter R. Walsh, USMC, Retired, FBI, Retired, US Olympic Firearms Coach, Retired ......

Col. Walsh is a true American hero and certainly deserves recognition on your wonderful website.

He was one of the original G-men, and was very instrumental in finishing the Brady Gang as well as Baby Face Nelson.

Col. Walsh served admirably with the Marines during WWII, with the FBI in its infancy and with the US Olympics as a firearms coach. He also trained Marines in sharpshooting and held many records for target shooting in the USA.

He is now 101yrs old and it would be nice if someone could pay him tribute for all that he has contributed to our country over the years.

Thank you ....
