The Late 30's Firearms Videos Located:
There are 2 separate videos available revealing what is believed to be an FBI firearms session(s) circa 1937. We're not certain of that date. The videos were found at the training academy at Quantico and may have been taken by someone present with a home movie recorder of some type. The videos are of historical FBI and law enforcement research interest for the obvious reasons. Each one presents a multitude of men and faces which to this day are mostly NOT identified. You'll also see various weapons, positions etc.
What has additionally been done by myself is a review of the videos, and the "capturing" of various photos making them into "stills" of some of the men. This has then be transformed into an electronic e-book which is available. This booklet has been circulated to many in an attempt to identify faces. As of 2007, there's been little success in identifying the Agents shown. In the event you can identify them, please email me.
The videos are in “wmv” format and will play on Windows Media Player, and probably other “players.” If you are having problems downloading, bear in mind you may have security measures on your computer that are blocking the downloads. You can adjust your computer accordingly to take them. Windows Media Player is free on the net if you don’t have it.
INSTRUCTIONS TO GET VIDEOS OF 1938 FBI FIREARMS SESSIONS & "STILLS"
The 2 video .wmv files are entirely too large to maintain at this site.
You can obtain the electronic book of the "stills" I've made from the actual videos - click here.
I could only grab a certain amount of pictures from the videos so these stills do not encompass everyone on the videos.
T O OBTAIN THE ACTUAL 2 VIDEOS:
Due to their size, I cannot post the '30s videos at this site. If you want the actual videos, I'll be happy to mail them to you at no charge right now. Email me your name, address etc. with a request for the videos. It will take a couple of days to burn them to a cd and get them to the post office.
By the way, the above "still" is taken from one of the videos. We now believe that in all probability, this is Clyde Tolson, circa 1937/1938.
